Leader Gail Allen.

Meet outside the old chapel in Oakwood at Pontrhydyfen.

Visit the first disused viaduct. Had more snow overnight!.

That will be the second viaduct to cross in just a few minutes.

Another chapel near the first.

Onto the second viaduct.

Beautiful sunny day to be in the snow.

There's the first viaduct which we were on!.

Gordon, on the right has walked with West Glamorgan Group from its creation.

These two ladies are some of our most recent walkers.

Everyone is happy and laughing - who said walking is hard?

Below the second viaduct.

Still laughing and joking!.

Famous place Pontrhydyfen!.

Richard Burton's birthplace.

Under the first viaduct.

Goodness! Were we all the way up there?.

Heading for the forestry plantation.

Entering Rhyslyn Forest.

Cycle path runs along disused railway lines.

Visiting Kanji Japanese Garden.

Yes! ...Something Japanese! Answers on a postcard....

Stopping for tea.

Cold snow - hot tea!.

Hmm? Something else Japanese!.

Enjoying the tea stop in the Garden listening to recorded Japanese sounds.

Tea area has another Japanese symbol.

Yet another interesting Japanese item in the Garden.

Mark and Eileen have also joined our group recently - welcome!.

Information boards in the car park.

Descending to the riverside path.

Stream in bottom of valley.

That's the third viaduct leading to the Japanese Garden.

Tree covered in moss and snow caught in the afternoon light.

Level walk back to forestry entrance.

OK - so it didn't stay level but better downhill than up!.

There's the first viaduct again.

Low sun silhouettes some of our group.

Nearly back at the cars.

A couple of hundred yards to go.

Nearly there!.

Back at the cars and still smiling! Thank you Gail.
